You talk, Sawti writes
Typing Arabic on a phone is slow, and a voice note is not always the right answer. With Sawti you just say it, the way you would say it to a friend, and the message is written for you: punctuated, without the stumbles, ready to send.
For everything you write every day
A long WhatsApp message, a reply to a customer, a post, a comment, an email, your notes, a page of your diary. Wherever you can type, you can talk instead.
Your dialect, written cleanly
You say, in Arabic:
أ أنا عايز أقولك إن الاجتماع بتاع بكرة اتأجل يعني هنتقابل يوم الحد بدل السبت
Sawti types:
أنا عايز أقولك إن الاجتماع بتاع بكرة اتأجل. هنتقابل يوم الحد بدل السبت.
Or proper Arabic, without worrying about grammar
You say, in Arabic:
اليوم كنت رايح عالشغل وشفت زحمة مو طبيعية، فقلت خليني أكتب عن مشكلة المواصلات بمدينتنا
Sawti types:
اليوم كنت متوجّهًا إلى عملي، فرأيت ازدحامًا خانقًا، فقرّرت أن أكتب عن مشكلة المواصلات في مدينتنا.
On your phone, Sawti is a keyboard
Add it once, and the microphone is there in every app: tap it, talk, tap again. On a computer it is one key, in any app.
And when you need English, the same app turns what you said into clear English, and reads English text back to you in simple Arabic.
Questions people ask
Is it free?
Free for a month, counted from your first dictation, with no card needed. The free month includes up to five hours of speaking (fair use), far more than most people use. After that you choose a plan or stop.
Which dialects does it understand?
Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine, Iraqi, Maghrebi and Modern Standard Arabic, and Arabic mixed with English words.
Does it work in WhatsApp?
Yes, and in any app where you can type: on the phone through the Sawti keyboard, on a computer wherever your cursor is.
What happens to my voice?
It is sent once to be written out, then discarded. The text stays on your device.
